Self Care Training – Level 1

Self Care Training teaches the anatomy and physiology of the abdominal/pelvic organs, addresses causes and symptoms of malpositioned or congested organs, demonstrates the massage techniques and provides supervised group practices of self care massage. In addition, Maya spiritual healing, Rainforest plant medicine, nutrition and other Maya healing modalities will be covered.

Self Care Training is a nurturing time to focus on your own digestive and reproductive health concerns such as painful or irregular periods, PMS, fibroids, fertility, difficult menopause, post-cesarean or hysterectomy scarring, constipation, IBS, indigestion, bladder infections or incontinence. This course is designed to educate and empower you to use your own two hands to help yourself. Before proceeding to healing others, it is essential to have practiced these techniques for your personal health and well-being.

This two and a half day class prepares you to perform The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy ®  on yourself only. It is not intended to prepare you to apply this technique professionally. Anyone may register for this class. No prior training or license is required. Self Care Training Level 1 is the prerequisite to enrollment in Professional Training Level 2.

Continuing Ed Credits: Massage therapists earn 17.5 CE hours through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Acupuncturists earn 16 PDA points through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
